How to work out the force of your existing gas strut by weighing the pressure in your strut
Can't find the force on your existing gas strut here is how you work it out.

This method works well when you gas strut is still doing most of the job but just not holding.

Push the strut down on a set of bathroom scales and let us know what the kg's are and we will convert to Nm

This method is perfect if you have lost your gas struts or your gas struts are completely cactus.

Weigh the door at the point where the gas struts are normally position (remove the existing gas struts, you may think they aren't working but you'd be surprised)
