When you can't find the force on your gas strut...
Tip #1 Weigh Your Lid Where Your Gas Struts are Positioned
Tip #2 Weigh the Existing Pressure in your Gas Strut
This method works well when you gas strut is still doing most of the job but just not holding.
Push the strut down on a set of bathroom scales and let us know what the kg's are and we will convert to N.
This method is perfect if you have lost your gas struts or your gas struts are completely cactus.
Weigh the door at the point where the gas struts are normally position (remove the existing gas struts, you may think they aren't working but you'd be surprised).
