Gas Strut Australia is happy to exchange or up-gas your gas strut within 30 days of delivery unless faulty. We understand mistakes happen and we want to make sure that you get the best experience from your Gas Struts and from Gas Strut Australia.
Your refund will be credited to the original payment card minus freight and re-stocking fee (if applicable) once we receive your Gas Strut back at our warehouse.
Returns must be received:
- Within 30 days of your purchase
- Unused, undamaged and unmarked
- A Re-Stocking Fee of 30% may be charged
How to Return Your Gas Struts
Your struts must be in their original unused condition to be returned, unless faulty. Remember to return your struts within 30 days.

Our Returns Team will contact you within 48 hours with the Return Warehouse Address to send your Return to.
When mailing back, ensure you ask for a signature on delivery to ensure we can track your return. Remember to include your Original Packing Slip in the parcel.
If the full amount of pressure or extremely high pressure has been put into your Gas Strut we are unable to exchange / take it back into stock…if in doubt please check your weight or ask use for help before ordering.
As we customise all our gas struts to your requirements we charge a 30% re-stocking fee, this will be deducted from your refund. We also do not refund original shipping paid on the order.
If your item is still in new condition, you can exchange your Gas Strut for a different length, diameter, pressure. You will not not be charged a restocking fee however you will still have to pay shipping and any difference in product price.
Once we have your Gas Struts in our warehouse, our Returns Team will determine whether the product is okay to be refunded. Once approved we’ll refund your money…this can take from 4-10 days.
We’ll let you know that we have processed your refund. It can take up to 4-10 days for the refund to hit your bank account depending on the financial institution.
Your Refund will go back to the same credit card that you made your purchase on.
SOME HANDY HINTS…
Tips if you are having trouble making your gas struts work correctly
Too Strong – Re-gas we can add more pressure or move your gas strut further away from the hinge
Too Short or Too Long – try re-positioning your gas strut, start with moving your gas strut up or down in your box depending on if too short or long.
Too Strong – we can’t de-gas in most instances however try moving your gas strut closer to the hinge on the lid
